Communication

Clothing

Please wear comfortable clothing which can include casual or sports clothes and a pair of sports shoes. The sports shoes are required to be non marking.

Racquets

If you don’t have a racquet, tennis racquets are provided for students to loan during lessons at no charge. Eventually it is recommended that students purchase their own racquet. For all junior players, there is a New Starters Kit available for $29.95 which is a Junior Racquet of the correct size and a Sports Cap. Adult racquets start at $49.95.

Sun Safety

Rod Fahey Tennis School does comply with with recommendations from the Cancer Council of N.S.W in relation to personal sun protection and personal sun safety practices. Please ensure that you have applied suitable sunscreen before commencement of tennis lessons and hats must be worn for sun protection.

Grading System

All students are graded and assessed every term. The grading system helps monitor the progression of every student. All students will receive these results in a student report emailed at the completition of the term. Students will progess through the different stages of development and will be advised when their coaching class needs to be upgraded to help facilitate this progression.

Wet Weather

In the event of a wet day, the Tennis School will make a decision around 2:30pm if the courts are playable or not. If it is decided that the days tennis needs to be cancelled, a text message is forwarded to students to let you know. If you do not receive a message, tennis is generally still on. There are days that you are required to turn up and tennis lessons may still be called off. In the event that one of your lessons throughout the term does get called off due to wet weather, you may register for the Wet Weather Make Up Day. The times and dates for this day are advertised on www.rodfaheytennis.com.

Missed Lessons

If you cannot make your lesson the lesson is forfeited. If there is a position available in the same type of group on an alternative day throughout the week, students can do make up lesson.

Parents

Parents are welcome to spectate the lessons at all times. Parents are not allowed onto the court throughout the lesson unless this is requested by the coach for a particular reason.

Practice

Students who practice their tennis or play more than once per week will demonstrate a faster rate of improvement.

Coaching fee is a fixed rate

Please be aware that all Rod Fahey Tennis School fees are a fixed rate. No refunds are given once you have booked a position or no pro rata refunds are given once your course begins.

Active Kids Vouchers

Rod Fahey Tennis School is an Active Kids Voucher provider and we accept vouchers to be used for enrolments in our Term coaching and Competitions. The voucher must be provided to us before or at the time of your booking, so the voucher can be redeemed with Service N.S.W. Once the voucher is redeemed your booking fee will be reduced by $100 and you would be required to pay any remaining balance to complete the booking. Please note, vouchers are non refundable and cannot be transferred to other providers.
